03.12.22–08.04.23
Opening 02.12.2022, 17:00 – 20:00
For its fifth exhibition, BPA// Raum is being taken over by two Berlin-based artist-run spaces: Sangt Hipolyt (initiated by Burkhard Beschow in 2018 and, since 2021, co-curated by BPA// alumna Anne Fellner) and BBBerlin (initiated by BPA// alumnus Mickael Marman in 2020). The takeover highlights BPA//’s reach beyond its current participants, mentors, and alumni, as a network that extends beyond the city of Berlin.
Both spaces selected one artist from their respective future programs: Viktoria Wendel Skousen was invited by Sangt Hipolyt and Matthieu Palud by BBBerlin.
Viktoria Wendel Skousen lives and works in Copenhagen. She holds a MFA from the Royal Academy of Fine Arts School of Visual Arts and Akademie der Bildenden Künste, Wien. Wendel Skousen has exhibited in a variety of locations, such as Roskilde Festival Artzone, Denmark, Alice Folker Gallery, Copenhagen, Vermilion Sands, Copenhagen, Düsseldorf Photo+ Biennale for Visual and Sonic Media, and most recently at The Elizabeth Foundation for the Arts (New York). In 2013, she founded the internet-based art magazine and archive for artistic writing Texted.
Matthieu Palud lives and works in Treignac, France. He studied at l'École nationale supérieure des Beaux-Arts, Paris. Recent solo and duo exhibitions took place at treignac projet and Cocotte, Treignac, Gaudel de Stampa, Paris, and Tonus, Paris.
