BPA// Raum is pleased to invite you to Spoiler Alert, a two-day exhibition organized by current BPA// participants. For Spoiler Alert, BPA// participants, alumni, mentors, and team members all designed bumper stickers, taking a departure from their usual artistic practices. According to the curatorial team, the exhibition is structured “around critiques of cars and capital. It ‘reinvents the wheel’ and invites passengers to co-navigate the complexities of adhesive geometric culture (bumper stickers) in which meaning is parallel parked.” Spoiler Alert can thus be seen as “a crash course on acceleration and the roundabout ways in which a reversal of artistic license is tied to pedestrian routes that fuel understanding.”
